Another day with my favorite game, at the course I began playing when I was fourteen years old, Orenco Woods in Oregon.  I have a lot of great memories of this place, and am sad to see that is will be turned into a housing development sometime in 2006.  I broke 40 for the first time here when I was sixteen, and many times my mom would walk the course with me and keep my score when I was a teenager.  This photo was taken on the 8th tee, a challenging 190-yard par 3, by my friend Mike on a nice July day in 1999.  I love the golf course in late evening, as the shadows lengthen with the setting sun.  Nothing more fun than finishing a round under the moonlight.   Try it sometime.
