Hitting golf balls on the modest driving range of my boyhood haunt, Orenco Woods, in July 2003.  I love practicing by myself, alone with just my thoughts and this crazy, funny game.  When I'm there the rest of the world disappears and it's just me and the golf course.  On this day I was accompanied by my dear friend Isis, who  took her first swings at a golf ball that day.  The game is a great way to divert yourself for a few hours from the real pressures of your life.  I'm hitting my trusty 24 degree utility club here, which I got from Golf Works assembled for $20.  You can get some real good equipment for not a lot of money, so look into companies like Golfsmith, Golf Works, and others, for nice equipment at an affordable price (go to my "Golf Links" page for more information).   Happy golfing folks.
