The 7th hole at Pebble Beach, as it is today.  The wind can make this 105 yard hole play more like 220 yards at times, which can make the course a brutal challenge.  In 1947 Bing Crosby moved his tournament here, and it has continued on to the present, now known as the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.  There's a great book about the history of the old tournament by Dwayne Netland, called The Crosby: Greatest Show in Golf, which is very entertaining.  I remember watching Jack Nicklaus shoot an 82 there with a 45 on the back nine in 1976 - and the weather was great!  But Nicklaus also won the 1961 U.S. Amateur there, along with the U.S. Open in 1972, and three Crosby's, so he can't complain.  Tom Watson won a memorable duel with Jack in the 1982 U.S. Open, and Tom Kite pitched in on this hole in brutally difficult conditions during the final round of the 1992 U.S. Open to capture the title.
