Golfers crossing the Swilcan Burn Bridge, at the 18th hole of the Old Course, St. Andrews, Scotland.  The bridge is said to have been built by the Romans over a thousand years ago.   In 1810, a meeting of the St. Andrews golfers agreed "to employ a tradesman  to repair the Golfer’s Bridge, which is at present almost impassable, and to pay the expense thereof."  This picture was taken at the 1990 British Open, and Jack Nicklaus is crossing the bridge (on the right side in the red sweater).
